One short week after the DiPasqua wedding at Justin’s Grill, we packed up the car and headed to… Justin’s Grill. It pays to be a preferred vendor. This time, it was the wedding reception of Harvey Taylor and Jessica Marra… an awesome couple that was incredibly enjoyable with a very fun wedding. And hey, we also got a chance to hang out with Bridget Florack from b.fotographic!

Harvey and Jessica had gotten married earlier in the day, so the party began with cocktail hour on Justin Grill’s outside patio. As the guests arrived and acclimated themselves, they noticed interesting features to the wedding, including individual candy buffets serving as the table centerpieces and sparklers with customized matches for the sparkler send off later in the night. Harvey and Jessica joined in with the cocktail hour and when it ended, the party was brought inside for the reception.

The introductions had different music based on different groups with parents, wedding party, and bride and groom getting their own themes. First up were the parents of the groom, who walked into the reception to Happy by Pharrell Williams, followed by the grandiose entrance of the parents of the bride to Nino Rota’s Love Theme from The Godfather. Following the parents was the wedding party, who walked in to LMFAO’s Party Rock Anthem. Finally, for their grand entrance, the freshly announced Harvey and Jessica Taylor walked in to Eye of the Tiger by Survivor. Not wasting any time, Harvey and Jessica enjoyed their first dance (Over The Rainbow/What a Wonderful World – Isreal Kamakawiwo’ole) and their parents dances (Rainbow Connection – Kenny Loggins, Stand By Me – Ben E. King) before sitting down for a nice sit down dinner.

The dance portion of the night was fun as it usually is. The Justin’s Grill dance floor remained filled throughout the night with modern hits and classics playing for just over 2 hours. At one point in the night, the request was made for New York, New York by Frank Sinatra. The song ended up being a big hit as the guests gathered together for a giant kick line. Salt City Sound Machine loves a lively crowd, and the guests for the Taylor/Marra wedding proved themselves to be more than lively, even carrying the groom on their shoulders at one point. Harvey and Jessica, while enjoying the night, also had some participation in some milestones. They enjoyed a cake cutting (How Sweet It Is – Marvin Gaye), and a generations dance later in the night. Finally, around 11pm, the final dance of the night (To Be With You – Mr. Big) played and it brought the dancing to a close.

As the night ended, the remaining guests had a job to do. They took their sparklers and their customized harveytaylor_djmatchbooks outside to show off Harvey and Jessica in style. They lit up their sparklers and formed an
aisle for the happy couple to run through, sending them off with a little pizzazz and putting an emphatic stamp on the end of the evening.

Congratulations to Harvey and Jessica. Thank you for choosing Salt City Sound Machine and we wish you the best of luck in the future!
